Le Sphinx was an Egyptian themed brothel (maisons de tolérance) that opened in 1931

There is a fair amount of wear but it is still a nice tin

These rounds typically sell for $150-250 each but having a full box of original more or less matching rounds is quite hard to find

The straps are currently one straight length but each strap was at one time sewn to itself in two places to create 2 large loops

Original Orange Butter Dish AS-IS auction Le Sphinx was an EgyptianOriginal German orange Pollopas butter dish. Its is functionally sound but there is a sizeable chip in rim of the bottom of the butter dish. Needs a good cleaning. Despite the chip, this would be a decent example to use for reenacting or as an example for your collection if you haven't found a perfect one yet.
