Maab runner some loss to one wovenA lovely little mid 20th century Baluchi prayer rug from north east Afghanistan. The mihrab with a centre tree of life motif flanked by two small columns. Apricot main border of flowerheads and X arrowhead motifs. The classic rich, warm and harmonious colours as found in the best Baluch rugs. Narrow striped flatweave ends and corded edges both intact. Minor loss to fringes but overall good condition with lustrous wool. It is rare to find a really good
