Räuchermann Incense Smoker Night Watchman paper Pre war snuff tin fromOriginal German Ruchermann incense smoker. He is wearing a night watchman's uniform and holding a long pipe. It is two pieces and cone incense (Rucherkerzchen) is lit and placed in the bottom and the smoke comes out his mouth. The Ruchermann was first mentioned in 1850 and is a common Christmas tradition. This one is an older one. He does show some wear and has been burned before. The brim on his hat is damaged.
