The texture is smooth and finely woven, not shiny, not slubby. We haven't opened it completely, and the folded, thread tied bolt weight 15 ounces and measures about 4" x 14". x 3 4" thick.. We assume it's a bolt for lining a cotton yukata kimono, which would be 4 5 yards. But the weight and the number of folds within folds makes us think it's probably more than that.
