The parts are treated in black oxide which will ensure long life of the parts and a finish that will hold

but I am fairly confident it could be cleaned and made a bright white again

Stacking Aluminum Pots with Metal Handle box It measures approximately 50" bySet of 3 German stackable cooking pots with 1 lid and a steel carrying frame. This style of stacking camping utensils were fairly common for several decades starting around the 1920's. This set is unmarked and could just as easily be 1930's as 1960's. It shows some light wear and the bottom pot has some discoloration inside but it is pretty nice overall.
