The pattern of the fire escapes and windows drew my eye

As an upper Midwesterner transplanted to the southern Appalachians

huge boulders emerge and I can (carefully) hop my way across previously impassable freshwater rapids

I sort of felt like Dorothy among the poppies from the "Wizard of Oz

Omniscient Sky The pattern of the fireA pedestrian contemplates her next move in New York City. Smartly attired silhouettes always draw my eye, and I enjoyed the openness of this moment in the heart of the city. As an aside that has nothing at all to do with this motif, I just want to add that I like to tease my over 6' tall 17 year old nephew that he is, "Omniscient, omnipotent, and omnivorous." As he continues to grow and grow, he definitely has that last part down pat.
