Late 19th century to early 20th century. 57 x 60 mm. Sand cast brass. St. Andrew and Saltire central motif, upper and lower banners "5th VOL BATT THE ROYAL SCOTS". Short lug mounts fitted to reverse. A scarce piece of Edinburgh based volunteer force insignia, pre 1908. Fine condition.
