Morganite Crystal with Green Tourmaline & Albite rainbow calcite This specimen is a classicBeryl var morganite with green tourmaline & albite cleavelandite. There is some blue green awuamarine toward the base of the crystal. Morganite is the light pink variety of the mineral beryl. Other varieties of the mineral beryl include emerald (green beryl) and aquamarine (blue beryl). Morganites subtle pink color comes from trace quantities of manganese included in the crystal structure. Morganite was discovered in Madagascar in 1910. George
