It is clear they were trying to mimic the standard look of the German clothing bag, but significantly taller. The body of the bag is USGI cotton as is the webbing completed with one German trouser button and a zeltbahn button. Very likely this was something a German soldier made for himself while detained at one of the many PW camps across America. Clearly one that didn't offer any
