Baule Catapult 05 and sizing of the sampleHand carved from indigenous wood using wood skills passed down from generations by the Baule people of the Ivory Coast, this wood carving formed the handle of a catapult. Catapults were often used for hunting fruit bats, a Baule delicacy. Each handle would be intricately carved with unique designs as they are thought to hold talismanic powers and bring good luck. Stand is included. Please note stands may have minor imperfections.
