Edwardian Garnet Heart Ring paste gemstone Condition: Great vintage condition withSimple yet striking garnet ring dating from the early 20th century, circa 1910. The stone is a heart shaped cabochon (or egg shaped, if that's more your thing), held in place by elongated prong settings which elevate it above the band and maximise its vibrant cherry red colour. Crafted in 9 carat gold throughout. Garnet's rich, red colour has long been associated with love, loyalty, and protection, and was commonly used in love tokens and engagements
