Egyptian Revival Sarcophagus Pendant cameos & intaglios 1630 to 1680An oversized early 20th century Egyptian Revival sarcophagus pendant dating from the 1920s. It's crafted in silver gilt and decorated with intricate but nonsensical hieroglyphs in coloured enamel: lapis blue, carnelian orange, turquoise and white. The partially struck mark on the jump ring tells us that it was made in Egypt, and the hole in the bottom was once home to a propelling pencil.
