Tripoli: Days and Knights Home or The Thousand and OneThis is a unique account of Libyan life under Italian colonisation. The full title of the book is Tripoli: Days and Knights A Description of the East West Crossing by Two American Girls. The material was gathered during three trips to Italian North Africa. As the first trip was followed by a second and third, stories, experiences and episodes accumulated, the writers gained a deeper understanding of the country around them. At the time, few literary
