The oval stone is highly domed, and surrounded by a ring of applied gold ropework a nod to the Etruscan Revival of the preceding decades. It dates from the early 20th century, circa 1905, crafted in rich 18 carat gold throughout. Lapis and high carat gold being one of the better precious metal gemstone combos.
