Acer palmatum 'Asahi zuru' Variegated Japanese Maple Full Sun 'Meijishi' and 'O jishi'Acer palmatum Asahi zuru is a medium sized Japanese maple with intense variegation. This tree is splashed with pinks and whites and greens. These colors are similar but more consistent than the classic Oridino nishiki. Asahi zuru will have occasional pink striations on the bark. Like most variegated varieties, Asahi zuru should be planted in part shade for the best color, or at least given protection from the hot afternoon sun. Height 10 12 feet
