I was thinking where I would photograph the sunrise and thought that the bridge over a frozen South Fork Kishwaukee River and the peachleaf willow tree would be a good place to set up the tripod

I decided to go off trail to capture the sunlight as it penetrated through to the forest floor and illuminate the autumn colors of maple

Walking to the lake to view the spring sunrise as I begin to cross the south fork Kishwaukee River at Wildflower Park

I was able to get both of them as they momentarily pause from foraging in the forest at Wildflower Park

I came upon these three (one off camera) green herons up in this dead peachleaf willow tree along Eakin Creek West at Wildflower Park
