1920s Armorial "Arm & Sword" Signet Ring art nouveau An unusual antique WW1 eraExcellent 1920s signet ring with an intaglio carved heraldic crest and Latin motto. The crest belongs to the Abel and Abell family (of Essex and Kent): an armour clad arm raised with sword in hand, over the words INVICTA VERITATE meaning "With invincible truth". Per Fairbairn's Book of Crests, the heraldic description reads: "an arm in armour embowed ppr., holding a sword arg., hilted." The ring is crafted in 18ct gold, and the size makes it wearable
